Have your builder's quote checked before you sign
A line-by-line review of your quote by an experienced London building surveyor. From £250, agreed upfront. UK-wide, by email.
Know your quote is fair before you sign
A builder's quote is usually the biggest cheque a homeowner will ever write, and most people sign it with no way of knowing whether it is complete or fairly priced. Checking that is exactly what a building surveyor and estimator does.
Send us your quote and drawings. We check every line against current rates and tell you, in plain English, what is missing, what is at risk and what a fair price looks like.
What you get
- A line-by-line review of your quote against current London and UK building rates
- Items that are missing or unclear, such as provisional sums, preliminaries, exclusions and VAT
- Risks to your budget, and the questions to put to your builder
- A marked-up copy of your quote and a short written summary
- A short follow-up call to talk it through, if you would like one
Fee
£250 for a typical house extension, loft conversion or renovation quote.
Larger projects, or several quotes compared side by side, are priced individually. Either way, we confirm the fee in writing before any work starts.
How it works
- Tell us about your project using the form below. Works UK-wide, by email.
- We confirm the fee and turnaround before any work starts: £250 for a standard check. You pay by card through a secure link to book your slot.
- You send your documents: the quote, the drawings, and any specification or schedule of works.
- We review the quote and send you a marked-up copy and written summary.
Good to know
- Every check is a fixed fee, from £250, agreed with you in writing before we start.
- The review is based on the documents you send. It is not a structural survey or a site inspection.
- It is not legal advice on your building contract.
- We work for you, not the builder, and we take no commission from contractors.
